Dr Kumar Annavarapu , P.hd
Editor & Managing Director
A thoroughbred professional into public relations, communications and educator with over three decades of experience, I come with a proven track-record in diverse fields. I am driven by my avowed mission to facilitate Indian youth wishing to study abroad, most specifically in the United States, by educating them the practises in vogue in the Promised Land.
My mission is to ensure the world’s best standard education to our Indian students, especially students from both Telugu States. And also felicitate Indian students to receive the American education with a gesture of monitory help. I have been striving to reduce the financial burden upon the students, who want to pursue overseas education. In this venture, to my utmost satisfaction, I can save the flow of money from India.
In order to extend a meaningful assistance to the youngsters who will be at the academic crossroads, and also to gain first-hand knowledge, I have visited the campuses of nearly 60 universities spread across the USA where I interacted with administrators, faculty, and students.
The information that I have procured during my visits is being passed on to Indian students, who dream of studying in the United States. I am a firm believer that giving such critical and crucial inputs to the youth, and their guardians, is an extremely useful confidence-booster.
My trips as a journalist, public relations experts and communicator have all come in handy, particularly when I resolved to go full-stream as a friend, philosopher and guide to thousands of Indian students.
I am confronted with myriad complaints and doubts by students, who are clueless about the problems they could face because of a lack of professional guidance regarding the education system that is prevalent in America.
Working on an American Educational Project that endeavours to provide an accurate ground-reality about the do’s and don’ts in USA, has motivated me to assist US-inclined students regarding global education.
Educating the masses comes naturally to me. As a journalist, I wrote hundreds of features that analysed the education system abroad and how an Indian student can cope up with the system.
The fortnightly that I founded 25 years back, VIDYA, which is received to popular applause, is an extension of this very mission of mine-career counselling, details for admission in various overseas varsities, campus ambience, preparing study material for competitive examinations and personality development.
Most of my research contributions have been in the area of youth education and career development, mainly addressing the fundamental problems like goal-setting, clear vision, determination, persistence, dedication, sincerity, and hard work. These have been exemplified in my works illustrating the success stories of eminent personalities, who make for inspirational role-models.
Some of my creations like Jeevana Vikasam and Jeevana Vijayam serve as stepping stones for the young to become good leaders. They help students become goal-oriented individuals while pursuing either professional for vocational education.
A satisfaction has been that my works have won innumerable awards from some of the finest institutions in India and abroad, including NATA, TANA, TAMA, Telugu Canada Foundation, Madras Telugu Academy, Delhi Telugu Academy, Ananda Lahari Dasabdhi Utsav and Sri Krishna Devaraya University, to name a handful of them.
My pioneering efforts since establishing the hugely popular Indo-American Student Council are bearing fruit year after year. This has been rewarded by way of acknowledgements coming from students, guardians and university administrators, who all appreciate the meticulous manner I make things easy and help answer all their doubts with regard to the education system abroad and how Indian students can cope up with the lifestyle there.
A shot in the arm has been the way faculty approaches me because they feel safe and secure in the way I present the actualities. Transparency, trustworthiness and reliable professionalism are by-words in all my facilitating exercises.
This is one of the reasons why people keep coming to me and refer me to others, who are on the lookout for guidance from a proven professional friend. In a way, this spirit has been imbibed in me thanks to reading and getting motivated by the teachings of Swamy Vivekananda and his clarion call to youth and stress on education.
